Hello everybody and welcome to Navel Gazing: your look back at the week in Punknews. I'm Adam White and I'll be your guide through some of the most popular, notable, and otherwise attention getting stories of the past seven days. Each and every Punknews story is built from tips contributed by you fine folks, and here's what got the community talking this week...

The People Must Have Something Good To Read On A Sunday

This week's most popular stories

This week The Fest announced more bands playing this year's weekend in Gainesville. The new additions include a Gunmoll reunion show and apperances from Carpenter, This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb, Chris Wollard and the Ship Thieves, Vicious Cycle, American Steel and Drag The River.

Dead to Me posted the song "Modern Muse" from their upcoming full length African Elephants. Bassist / vocalist Chicken insists that Dalrymple is still in the band though, he's just taking a fatherhood sabbatical.

With their recent reunion the Get Up Kids are getting all nostalgic on us. In a recent interview Jim Suptic discussed his love for Fugazi and outright apologized if the Get Up Kids' influence help create today's glam rock-like emo / punk scene.

Suburban Home announced the
next three Under The Influence pairings. Look for splits between O Pioneers!!! and New Bruises, Joey Cape paired with Mike Hale, and Kevin Seconds with Kepi Ghoulie.

Jello Biafra has returned with a new band dubbed Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine. The band features Billy Gould of Faith No More, Kimo Ball of Freak Accident, Ralph Spight of Victims Family, and Jon Weiss. The record The Audacity of Hype will arrive in October on Alternative Tentacles.
