There have been rumors floating around the Internet that New York City native Lady Gaga will make a cameo on the TV show that takes place in her hometown, "Gossip Girl." Gaga, with the glamour and intrigue that surrounds her, would definitely fit in with some of New York's most privileged, so it seemed like it could be perfect casting.

One of the show's stars, Penn Badgley, confirmed to MTV News that she will in fact be stopping by the scandalous world of "Gossip Girl." "Yeah, she's a part of the threesome — I'm kidding," he joked to MTV News on the red carpet for the premiere of his new flick, "The Stepfather." "She's not, but there is a threesome and there is Lady Gaga, so you gotta keep watching."

Although he didn't reveal too many details about Gaga's forthcoming appearance, he did add that she will join the list of performers that have appeared on the show, a list that includes Sonic Youth. And he also shared that somehow her cameo will be linked to the life of Dan Humphrey. "I don't want to give away too much, but she will perform a little bit," he said. "And it is involved in my story line."

Speaking of Dan Humphrey's story lines and the inner workings of this season's much talked-about threesome, might Dan be spicing up his love life? Well, if he is, it just might tie into that equally discussed gay kiss that Ed Westwick's Chuck Bass is supposed to have. "I can't tell you that," he said, jokingly adding, "Hypothetically, it's all three guys."
