Ross' next album, Teflon Don, arrives June 29.By Shaheem Reid

Rick Ross has announced June 29 as the release date for his new LP, Teflon Don. The rap heavyweight released the first official single for the set on Monday (April 12), "Super High." The record is produced by beat legend Clark Kent and features Ross' Def Jam labelmate Ne-Yo.

The drums are smothered in '70s soul funk, and Ne-Yo brings his Grammy-winning vocals to serenade the ladies and make the fellas jealous as he brags about his spoils. "All these cars, all these stars all around me/ ... To the sky, that's where you'll find me."

"We doing it big, it's going down at 11," Ross raps. "I'm doing it big pulling up in the 911/ ... Baby girl, it's now or never/ Got the condo on the beach, so our storms we shall weather/ F--- the marketing, look at what I'm accomplishing/ I'm beating n---as by margins bigger than Fran Tarkenton."

Later, Ne-Yo gets his own verse: "Women of a caliber you only see in magazines and calendars/ And I'm sitting with Miss October, because my birthday's in October."

On Monday afternoon, during a conference call with Def Jam, DJ Clark Kent called in to salute Ross. Production team the Remedy co-produced "Super High" with Kent.

"I wanted to congratulate Rick Ross," Kent said. "I said, 'Please listen to this song. It's not for anybody else. It's for you.' I said, 'This is for you. Don't put none of your friends, no other artists on it. This is made for you.' I wanna say thank you for f---in' with it. What you did to the song, I wanna say thank you."

Ross has been on a rampage as of late, with highly touted verses on remixes by Diddy ("Angels"), Waka Flocka Flame ("O Let's Do It") and Erykah Badu (the unofficial "Window Seat" remix).

Last year, Ross explained his Teflon Don album title to MTV News: "You gotta understand, I feel like I overcame so many things. Not only in music, but in my everyday life — being a young black man, being an entrepreneur, being a father. I learned a lot of things. I'm turning right around, putting it back into music. It's still a lot of things I deal with. Still a lot of negativity. That's what it is, and that's why I feel the title of my next studio album is so appropriate."

On Monday afternoon, Ross announced that he has rejoined Jay-Z in the studio for the album. "Jay-Z, he's on Teflon Don," Ross said. "I'mma just leave it right there. It's magic." Jay previously appeared on Trilla's "Maybach Music."

Besides Hov, Ross revealed that his new friend Sean Combs is working on the project as well. "Diddy is producing on the album," Ross said. "One of my best memories is when Diddy took me to [his studio] Daddy's House and let me record in the same booth Big used."

Ross said recording in such a historic place gave him even more motivation and inspiration for the lyrical precision on the album.
