Weezer will be releasing a DVD of live footage in 2006.

The band recently filmed two performances of their just-completed tour of Japan (December 20 and 21 at Studio Coast in Tokyo). Weezer webmaster/"fifth member" Karl Koch posted the following bits of information on the group's website about the project:

"[The DVD is comprised of] a 2-day, 7-camera shoot of the shows, plus material that will be drawn from various 'behind the scenes' footage that both the Japanese company is shooting as well as footage I've been gathering as we travel around."
