MC Lars has posted the video for his track, "Twenty-Three." The song comes from his 2009 album This Gigantic Robot Kills and is a serious subject for the normally satirical "laptop rapper."
The song looks back at Patrick Wood who died by suicide. Our reviewer commented on the song's appearance on the album:

[It is] a somber track about a college roommate (who was featured on Lars' debut album, Radio Pet Fencing) who committed suicide. Aside from the sad tone, the track helps personalize the artist, bring more attention to depression and suicide, and balances the flow of the album.

To that end, Lars partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for the video. He commented on the video and the partnership:

We contacted AFSP, an organization that had helped Patrick's mother as she dealt with the loss of her son. We told them we wanted to make a video for 'Twenty-three' and asked if they wanted to join forces to spread our message of suicide prevention and survival after suicide. They loved the song and graciously pledged their support.
