T.I. turned himself over to authorities once again on Monday (November 1), as the Atlanta rapper is set to begin his second stint in prison in less than a year.

T.I. (real name: Clifford Harris) reported to the Forrest City federal facility to serve his 11-month sentence shortly before noon, according to The Associated Press.

The low-security prison is the same facility where T.I. served nine months last year after he secured a plea deal with Georgia prosecutors stemming from a 2007 gun case. The experimental deal required Tip to complete 1,500 hours of community service and endure home confinement in exchange for a lesser sentence; he was also required to complete a probation period afterward. The rapper was released in March after serving out the remainder of his time at a halfway house.

But last month, he and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, were arrested in Los Angeles for a driving violation and charged with drug possession after police checked their vehicle.

Los Angeles authorities eventually dropped the charges against the rapper, but documents filed by police suggested the rapper tested positive for opiates in his system, was with a convicted felon at the time of his arrest and was in possession of Ecstasy. All three accusations were violations of the rapper's strict supervised-release probation.

T.I.'s wife was charged in the case, and the rapper himself lost several endorsements, including with AXE and Remy Martin Cognac.

During his sentencing, T.I. asked the judge for leniency in his case and help with a drug dependency in lieu of jail time. However, Judge Charles Pannell, who authorized T.I.'s earlier plea deal, didn't comply with the request.
