From the article:
According to an online posting by DISTURBED's message board administrator, the band's latest album, "Ten Thousand Fists", has been certified platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of one million copies. The CD, which was released in September via Reprise, has shifted 845,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"Ten Thousand Fists" features the debut of new DISTURBED bassist John Moyer (ex-THE UNION UNDERGROUND). The album artwork was created by Todd McFarlane (creator of the wildly popular comic book character Spawn), who also designed the album cover for KORN's "Follow the Leader" as well as the video for "Freak on a Leash" and PEARL JAM's "Do the Evolution".
DISTURBED's debut album, "The Sickness" (2000) has sold 3.54 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
