The Gaslight Anthem
The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon sat down with SPIN magazine recently to discuss their upcoming major-label debut, Handwritten. He said of working with producer Brendan O'Brien:

He would just straight up tell us that something wasn't good, or just say that's not a good song. Fortunately that didn't happen too often... If it's not good, he would throw it out. So that leaves you with a certain sense of not getting married to anything until it's actually on the record."

Fallon also compares the album's sound to "Tom Petty songs played by Pearl Jam or the Foo Fighters." He ends the article with some thoughts about the band's potential: "I've always been ready for arenas. I've just been waiting for them to catch up to me."

You can read the full piece here. Handwritten is expected to be released in June of this year.
