Welland, Ontario's The Snips have announced that they will self-realse their next full length Highs of Low on the band's own Rival Party Records this August 14th. While no new songs are online yet, the group has commented that the new 10 track record is a departure from past material, finding their sound in a "much dirtier and unpolished place." The record follows up 2009's Blackouts EP and was recorded with Dan Weston (City and Colour, Attack In Black, Living With Lions).
The Snips will support the release with tours of Canada, the US and Europe, including festival stops at both SCENE this month and The Fest in Gainesville in October. A record release show will take place in their hometown on August 17th.
