Reports are coming in that Tim Labesis, singer for metalcore As I Lay Dying, has been arrested by California police for attempting to hire a hitman to have his estranged wife killed. Lambesis's wife had filed papers for divorce this past September. According to police, Lambesis approached an undercover detective in his attempt to arrange the murder. Lambesis is set to appear in court for arraignment tomorrow.

Neither the band or their label, Metal Blade Records, has released a statement at this time.
