Panda was nominated for 3 of the MTV Latin VMAS including:
Best Group or Duo
Best Alternative Artist
And
Video Of The Year w/ "Los Malaventurados No Lloran"
Panda took home Best Alternative Artist.
(Best Gruop Or Duo went to Mana and Video of the Year went to Belinda w/ "Bella Traicion")
In my opinion Panda should have won all the categories, b-cuz their video is honestly better than watching Belinda dance around in fifty different out fits for 3 minutes, and as for Mana, they might be local heroes but their old. No, i don't want to bad talk these other two artist b-cuz i like them too, but it's like what happened to MCR at the '05 VMAS, they were ROBBED!!
But anyways,
Evanescenes was nominated for Best International Rock Artist and won.
Song Of the Year was Won By Avril Lavigne w/ "Girlfriend"
Revelation Artist & Best New Artist North were won By Camila
and so on.
But the night wasn't a total lose, unlike the '07 VMAS
Los Premios featured the likes of:
a performance by 30 seconds to mars w/ guest Ely Guerra(From Yesterday)
A peformance by the legendary The Cure (Friday I'm In Love)which opened the show, and went back for more with "The End Of The World"
All and all a good night.
(note I only wrote about what mattered to ME. the actual awards had more acts and categories which i didn't find important or felt their were awarded unjustly. So if you see one of your fav. artist or a category missing don't come crying to me.)
