A number of details have surfaced about Life On The Murder Scene, the long-awaited DVD/CD from New Jersey goth-punks My Chemical Romance. The DVD/CD, initially slated for a late 2005 release, has been now confirmed as hitting stores on March 21.
Murder Scene will be packaged as a three-disc digipak. The DVD will be over two discs -- one documenting the band on the road in the form of a diary, the other will cover live footage, their AOL Sessions and MTV $2 Bill performances, and music videos for "Helena," "The Ghost Of You" and "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)," with "Making Of..." footage for all three.
The CD will include the audio of Thank You For The Venom," "Give 'Em Hell Kid," "Helena" and "The Ghost Of You" from MCR's AOL Sessions performance. The CD will also include rare demos, including "Bury Me In Black."
My Chemical Romance spent all of 2005 touring in support of their 2004 breakout Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, which has gone on to sell over 1.9 million copies worldwide. The band most recently completed both a U.K. tour and a Canadian tour in support of the disc, and are currently taking time off to write the follow-up to the album, slated to come out later this year. The band were also recently confirmed as participants for the annual U.K. festival Give It A Name, taking place April 29-30.
