This week we celebrated Record Store Day! We had our firend Stevo from
1-2-3-4 Go! Records give us his thoughts on the event, which is now in its second year. Alternative Press spoke with a
number of bands about their favourite stores, including the
Lawrence Arms,
Bouncing Souls, and
Dillinger Four.
Green Day unveiled
Know Your Enemy, the first single from 21st Century Breakdown, as well as the
lyrics and track listing for the full album. The band will celebrate the release with a club show at the
Bowery Ballroom on May 18th.
NOFX posted a new song from
Coaster. "
Creeping Out Sara" tells the story of Fat Mike meeting one Sara Quinn from
Tegan and Sara backstage at a festival in Germany.
iTunes' recent price increases went under the microscope recently, with Billboard reporting a
decrease in sales but an increase in revenue for higher priced tracks.
The Grammy Museum has announced plans for a premiere screening of
The Warped Tour documentary. The event will feature a discussion with tour head Kevin Lyman, director Jonathan Rach, and members of
Fishbone as well as a live performance by the
Phenomenauts.
Against Me! has plans to has reissue their first seven-inch
via Sabot Productions.
This summer
Dillinger Four will
tour throughout the Midwest beginning on June 4th.
The upcoming
Chaos In Tejas festival will feature bands like
Amebix,
Cro-Mags,
Cock Sparrer, the
Business,
Propagandhi, the
Thermals,
Career Suicide and
Brutal Knights among others.
