This week critically acclaimed melodic hardcore outfit
Strike Anywhere signed to Bridge 9 Records. The band will
hit the studio next week to record with producer Brian Mcternan.
Green Day has come into conflict with Wal-Mart over the content of their new album. The chain isn't stocking the CD because after the band
refuses to produce a censored version.
Blink-182's back. The band was
interviewed on KROQ this week and performed two songs
on Leno.
RVIVR, the newest endeavor for
Shorebirds and
Latterman frontman Matt Canino, is planning a new 7" single. Canino has also formed the band
Mutoid Men with
Jawbreaker bassist Chris Bauermeister.
Big D and The Kids Table detailed their new album
Fluent In Stroll, due out on July 7th 2009 via SideOneDummy. This September that label will also release
Gold Country, the new record from
Chuck Ragan.
Dear Landlord posted
three new songs from their upcoming No Idea debut Dream Homes.
Rancid unveiled another new song, previewing
"East Bay Night" online.
Mall punk act
Simple Plan has
begun writing their next album.
Four Year Strong is planning a
90s covers album titled Explains It All".
The
10 For $10 tour will feature ten bands for ten bucks and will feature bands like
Poison the Well,
Madball,
Bane,
Terror and
Crime in Stereo.
Ska fans
take note, as the
English Beat and
Reel Big Fish have lined up a US tour.
Also look for
This Time Next Year to tour with A Loss for Words.
The schedule for Chicago's
Windy City Soundclash was posted. Look for bands like the
