Confirming rumors that circulated a couple of months ago, the highly influential Sunny Day Real Estate have announced a month-long North American reunion tour. In addition, their label Sub Pop will reissue the band's first two albums, 1994's Diary and 1995's LP2, on CD and LP on September 15th. The records will be remastered, and augmented with rare bonus tracks and new liner notes.

No Use For A Name guitarist Dave Nassie confirmed that he's leaving that band to join Bleeding Through.

Punknews favourite Chuck Ragan streamed two new solo songs this week, previewing the tracks "Glory" and "Rotterdam." His label also announced the return of the Revival Tour this fall.





The lineup for San Diego's North Park Awesome Fast will feature Andrew Jackson Jihad, Dead To Me, Grabass Charlestons, the Arrivals, Tiltwheel, and Toys That Kill among others.

In addition to their previously announced west coast tour dates (and upcoming new album), the Mighty Mighty Bosstones announced a few east coast appearances for the summer.


Banner Pilot has completed their sophomore LP, their first to be released on Fat Wreck Chords.


The Beastie Boys unveiled the track listing for their upcoming 17 song full length Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 1.


Sabot Productions announced plans to reissue Lucero's first five albums on 180 gram vinyl.



The Sandwiches, a band made up of Punknews community regulars, have unveiled their new song "Who is Phone."

Bridge Nine Records previewed new songs from Strike Anywhere, Death Before Dishonor, Crime in Stereo, and Polar Bear Club among others.

Newark, DE's the Casting Out posted a new song from an upcoming digital EP.

Rx Bandits unveiled another new song this week, "Bring Our Children Home Or Everything Is Nothing."

Fat Wreck posted a download of Against Me!'s "Unsubstantiated Rumors" from their upcoming collection The Original Cowboy.


Green Day unveiled their video for the song "21 Guns."

A video of Brand New performing a new song "Gasoline" at London's Manchester Academy also surfaced online.






Finally we saw some awesome London Calling inspired art by
Georgia-based artist Erika Iris Simmons aka Iri5.
